Growing girl

Oh my dear sweet little peanut,

You are standing up already!! What the heck is going on? I didn’t think it was supposed to happen this early. But my word, lady, you are on the move and there is nothing that is going to stop you now.

I can’t believe the changes going on. You have grown leaps and bounds in the last few days. You crawl over to us now and climb up our legs, standing there, gasping in excitement till you fall back down again. You do this over and over and over again.

We got rid of our coffee table to give you more room. The whole living room is yours. It is so much fun watching you explore. What never ceases to amaze me though is how with all the expensive toys I strategically lay around for you to find, your favorite are still the tube of aqua fore, an old basting brush, and a small old wooden bowl.

You have also begun to love the bath, rather, the sink bath. I picked you up some little ocean friends, it said they were for 9 month olds, but I thought they were so cute so I said what the hell. And you could stay all day in there with them. You chew on the starfish and talk to the purple walrus. Sometimes you throw the killer whale. I don’t blame you.

Lastly, food, food, and more food! It is so much fun giving you new things to try. It just might be my new favorite thing. Not only seeing what you love, but also seeing your face when you hate something or think it’s strange. Like the wasabi flavored sea weed snacks tonight. Your father and I haven’t laughed that hard in quite some time. Until you started to actually like it. Then we were just surprised. You love dates, and almond butter. Not such a big fan of the broccoli and quinoa I pureed for you last night. But chicken broth got a green light. Breast milk is still your number one. It’s the mainstay. So hang in there P! The games have only begun.

You are becoming such a little girl. Such a beautiful precious little girl.

I love you honey.

Love,

Mom
